David saith

Let their table be made a snare to take themselves withal; and let the things that should have been for their wealth be unto them an occasion of falling.

Their table

And when the LORD thy God hath brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give thee with great and goodly cities which thou buildst not,
He set him up upon a high land, and he ate the increase of the fields. And he gave him honey to suck out of the rock, and oil out of the hard stone.
And when Abigail came to Nabal, behold, he held a feast in his house like the feast of a king; and Nabal's heart was merry within him, and he was drunk a good. Wherefore she told him nought, neither little nor more, until the morrow day.
His belly could never be filled; therefore shall he perish in his covetousness.
for the turning away of the unwise shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall be their own destruction.
but sanctify the LORD of Hosts: let him be your fear and dread.
But God said unto him, 'Thou fool, this night will they fetch away thy soul again from thee. Then whose shall those things be which thou hast provided?'
"There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple, and fine bysse, and fared deliciously every day.
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not exceeding wise, and that they trust not in the uncertain riches, but in the living God, which giveth us abundantly all things to enjoy them,

A recompence

"'Vengeance is mine, and I will reward! Their feet shall slide, when the time cometh. For the time of their destruction is at hand, and the time that shall come upon them maketh haste.'
Reward them according to their deeds and wickedness of their own inventions. Recompense them after the works of their hands; pay them that they have deserved.
like as when a man goeth forth wrothfully to recompense his enemies, and to be avenged of his adversaries. Namely, that he might recompense and reward the Islands,
For thus sayeth the LORD: Am I he that maketh others to bear, and bear not myself? Am not I he that beareth, and maketh barren, sayeth thy God?
For if the word which was spoken by angels was steadfast - so that every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense to reward -
