It is good, neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to do anything whereby your brother stumbles.

And, being not weakened in faith, he attentively considered his own body already dead (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb;

Now we, the strong, ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

A bruised reed will He not break, and a smoking flax will He not quench, till He send forth judgment unto victory;

And immediately Jesus, stretching forth His hand, took hold of him, and saith to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"

But whosoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it is profitable for him that a large millstone be hanged about his neck, and he be sunk in the depth of the sea.

It were profitable for him, if a millstone were placed about his neck, and he thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

And I, brethren, could not speak to you, as to spiritual, but as to carnal??s to babes in Christ.

But this knowledge is not in all; but some, by familiarity with the idol even until now, eat it as an idol-sacrifice; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

To the weak I became weak, that I might gain the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I may, by all means, save some.

Wherefore, receive one another, as Christ also received you, to the glory of God.

"He that receives you receives Me; and he that receives Me receives Him Who sent Me.

And whosoever receives one such little child in My name, receives Me.

Verily, verily, I say to you, he who receives whomsoever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me."

Receive him, therefore, in the Lord with all joy, and hold such in honor;

If anyone comes to you, and brings not this teaching, receive him not into your house, and say not to him, "Greeting,"

We ought, therefore, to welcome such persons, that we may become fellow-workers for the truth.

Doubtful disputations

One believes that he may eat all things; but he that is weak eats herbs.
