Now I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruit of Achaia, and that they appointed themselves for ministry to the saints),

Having willed it, He brought us forth with a word of truth, that we might be a certain first-fruit of His creatures.

These are those who were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. These were redeemed from among men, a first fruit to God and to the Lamb.

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the assembly of God which is in Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia:

for I know your readiness, of which I glory on your behalf to the Macedonians, that Achaia has been prepared for a year past; and your zeal stirred up the majority of them.
