Of faith

being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus;

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore know that those of faith, these are the sons of Abraham.

(even when we were dead in sins) has made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are saved),

that being justified by His grace, we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

The promise

For when God made promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no greater, He swore by Himself,

Therefore, brothers, rather be diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you do these things, you shall never fall.

And he received a sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith while still uncircumcised; so that he might be the father of all those believing through uncircumcision, for righteousness to be imputed to them also;

The father

That is, not the children of the flesh are children of God; but the children of the promise are counted for a seed.

Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
