And you shall love Yahweh your God with all of your heart and with all of your soul and with all of your might.

Therefore I despise [myself] and repent in dust and ashes."

My soul clings to the dust; revive me according to your word.

Certainly I [am more] stupid than a man, and the understanding of humankind [is] not for me.

Every word of God [is] flawless; he [is] a shield for him who takes refuge in him.

Thus says Yahweh: "For three transgressions of Israel and for four I will not revoke [the punishment], because they sell the righteous for money and the poor for a pair of sandals!

But I say to you that everyone who is angry at his brother will be subject to judgment, and whoever says to his brother, 'Stupid fool!' will be subject to the council, and whoever says, 'Obstinate fool!' will be subject to fiery hell.

But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

And [when he] saw [it], Simon Peter fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Depart from me, Lord, because I am {a sinful man}!"

So Jesus went with them. Now by this time he was not far away from the house, [and] the centurion sent friends, saying to him, "Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy that you should come in under my roof.

The Pharisee stood [and] prayed these [things] with reference to himself: 'God, I give thanks to you that I am not like other people--swindlers, unrighteous [people], adulterers, or even like this tax collector!

For I know that good does not live in me, that is, in my flesh. For the willing is present in me, but the doing [of] the good [is] not.

For I joyfully agree with the law of God in my inner person,

And I, brothers, was not able to speak to you as to spiritual [people], but as to fleshly [people], as to infants in Christ.
