For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
That he might
having predestinated us to the adoption of sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful Witness, the First-born of the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him Who loveth, and loosed us from our sins in His own blood,
according to a purpose of the ages which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord,
