1 And he showed me Joshua the high priest, standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan stood at his righthand to resist him.
2 And the LORD said unto Satan, 'The LORD reprove thee, thou Satan; yea, the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem, reprove thee. Is not this a brand taken out of the fire?'
3 Now Joshua was clothed in unclean raiment, and stood before the angel:
4 Which answered and said unto those that stood before him, 'Take away the foul clothes from him.' And unto him he said, 'Behold, I have taken away thy sin from thee, and will deck thee with change of raiment.'
5 He said moreover, 'Set a fair mitre upon his head; So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and put on clothes upon him, and the angel of the LORD stood there.
6 Then the angel of the LORD testified unto Joshua, and spake,
7 'Thus sayeth the LORD of Hosts: If thou wilt walk in my ways, and keep my watch: thou shalt rule my house, and keep my courts, and I will give thee place among these that stand here.
8 "'Hear O Joshua thou high priest: thou and thy friends that dwell before thee, for they are wondrous people. Behold, I will bring forth the branch of my servant:
9 for lo, the stone that I have laid before Joshua: upon one stone shall be seven eyes. Behold, I will hew him out, sayeth the LORD of Hosts, and take away the sin of that land in one day.
10 Then shall every man call for his neighbour, under the vine and under the fig tree, sayeth the LORD of Hosts.
