Zephaniah 1:2

Judah's Impending Judgment

¹ The word of Yahweh which came to Zephaniah, the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hezekiah, in the days of Josiah, the son of Amon, king of Judah. ² I will utterly sweep away everything off of the surface of the earth, says Yahweh. ³ I will sweep away man and animal. I will sweep away the birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, and the heaps of rubble with the wicked. I will cut off man from the surface of the earth, says Yahweh.

Ezekiel 33:27-29

You shall tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: As I live, surely those who are in the waste places shall fall by the sword; and him who is in the open field will I give to the animals to be devoured; and those who are in the strongholds and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

Micah 7:13

Yet the land will be desolate because of those who dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.
