וַיַּ֨עַל
way·ya·‘al
עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם
‘ă·lê·hem
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
מֶ֣לֶךְ
me·leḵ
the king
[כשדיים]
kaś·dî·yîm
､ (כַּשְׂדִּ֗ים)
kaś·dîm,
the Chaldeans ､
וַיַּהֲרֹ֨ג
way·ya·hă·rōḡ
בַּחוּרֵיהֶ֤ם
ba·ḥū·rê·hem
בַּחֶ֙רֶב֙
ba·ḥe·reḇ
with the sword
בְּבֵ֣ית
bə·ḇêṯ
in the house
､ מִקְדָּשָׁ֔ם
miq·dā·šām,
וְלֹ֥א
wə·lō
and no
חָמַ֛ל
ḥā·mal
עַל־
‘al-
on
בָּח֥וּר
bā·ḥūr
､ וּבְתוּלָ֖ה
ū·ḇə·ṯū·lāh
or virgin ､
､ זָקֵ֣ן
zā·qên
on the aged ､
– וְיָשֵׁ֑שׁ
wə·yā·šêš;
or the weak –
הַכֹּ֖ל
hak·kōl
נָתַ֥ן
nā·ṯan
He gave [them]
. בְּיָדֽוֹ׃
bə·yā·ḏōw.
