אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם

and horses ､

and weapons –

וּרְאִיתֶ֞ם

הַטּ֤וֹב

וְהַיָּשָׁר֙

מִבְּנֵ֣י

אֲדֹנֵיכֶ֔ם

לְפָנָ֑יו

to him

וְאֵ֖יךְ

נַעֲמֹ֥ד

؟ אֲנָֽחְנוּ׃

we will do

we will make king

– אִ֔ישׁ

הַטּ֥וֹב

בְּעֵינֶ֖יךָ

and slaughtered

וַיָּשִׂ֤ימוּ

and put

in baskets ､

And came

､ הַמַּלְאָךְ֙

a messenger ､

וַיַּגֶּד־

and told

they have brought

Of the king

､ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר

and he said ､

שִׂ֣ימוּ

צִבֻּרִ֛ים

at the entrance

So it was

and stood ､

we [are]

and we have come down

לִשְׁל֥וֹם

to [ask] of the wellbeing

בְּנֵֽי־

bə·nê-

the sons

הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ

ham·me·leḵ

of the king

וּבְנֵ֥י

ū·ḇə·nê

and the sons

. הַגְּבִירָֽה׃

hag·gə·ḇî·rāh.

of the queen mother .

､ וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙

And he said ､

תִּפְשׂ֣וּם

. חַיִּ֔ים

וַֽיִּתְפְּשׂ֖וּם

So they took them

､ חַיִּ֑ים

and killed them

. לַיהוָ֑ה

So they had ride

. בְּרִכְבּֽוֹ׃

in his chariot .

וַיָּבֹא֙

And when he came

､ שֹֽׁמְר֔וֹן

to Samaria ､

וַ֠יַּךְ

and he killed

a solemn assembly

לַבַּ֖עַל

. וַיִּקְרָֽאוּ׃

so they proclaimed [it] .

וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח

And sent

יֵהוּא֙

בְּכָל־

– יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

､ וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙

and came ､

､ וַיָּבֹ֥א

And went ､

יֵה֛וּא

וִיהוֹנָדָ֥ב

of Rechab ､

וּרְאוּ֙

ū·rə·’ū

and see

פֶּן־

יֶשׁ־

yeš-

פֹּ֤ה

pōh

עִמָּכֶם֙

‘im·mā·ḵem

with you

מֵעַבְדֵ֣י

mê·‘aḇ·ḏê

､ יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

of Yahweh ､

כִּ֛י

kî

אִם־

’im-

but

עֹבְדֵ֥י

‘ō·ḇə·ḏê

הַבַּ֖עַל

hab·ba·‘al

. לְבַדָּֽם׃

lə·ḇad·dām.

וַיָּבֹ֕אוּ

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

So they went in

לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת

la·‘ă·śō·wṯ

זְבָחִ֣ים

zə·ḇā·ḥîm

､ וְעֹל֑וֹת

wə·‘ō·lō·wṯ;

and burnt offerings ､

וְיֵה֞וּא

wə·yê·hū

שָׂם־

śām-

ל֤וֹ

lōw

､ בַחוּץ֙

ḇa·ḥūṣ

on the outside ､

שְׁמֹנִ֣ים

šə·mō·nîm

אִ֔ישׁ

’îš,

､ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר

way·yō·mer,

and had said ､

הָאִ֤ישׁ

hā·’îš

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

､ יִמָּלֵט֙

yim·mā·lêṭ

[If] escapes ､

מִן־

min-

of

הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים

hā·’ă·nā·šîm,

the men

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

’ă·šer

אֲנִי֙

’ă·nî

I

מֵבִ֣יא

mê·ḇî

עַל־

‘al-

יְדֵיכֶ֔ם

yə·ḏê·ḵem,

נַפְשׁ֖וֹ

nap̄·šōw

[whoever lets him escape it shall be] his life

תַּ֥חַת

ta·ḥaṯ

. נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃

nap̄·šōw.

､ וַיְהִ֞י

way·hî

And it came to pass ､

כְּכַלֹּת֣וֹ ׀

kə·ḵal·lō·ṯōw

as soon as he had made an end

לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת

la·‘ă·śō·wṯ

､ הָעֹלָ֗ה

hā·‘ō·lāh,

the burnt offering ､

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

way·yō·mer

יֵ֠הוּא

yê·hū

לָרָצִ֨ים

lā·rā·ṣîm

to the guard

､ וְלַשָּׁלִשִׁ֜ים

wə·laš·šā·li·šîm

and to the captains ､

､ בֹּ֤אוּ

bō·’ū

go in ､

הַכּוּם֙

hak·kūm

[and] kill them

אִ֣ישׁ

’îš

אַל־

’al-

no one

. יֵצֵ֔א

yê·ṣê,

וַיַּכּ֖וּם

way·yak·kūm

And they killed them

לְפִי־

lə·p̄î-

with the edge

– חָ֑רֶב

ḥā·reḇ;

of the sword –

､ וַיַּשְׁלִ֗כוּ

way·yaš·li·ḵū,

then threw [them] out ､

הָֽרָצִים֙

hā·rā·ṣîm

וְהַשָּׁ֣לִשִׁ֔ים

wə·haš·šā·li·šîm,

and the officers

וַיֵּלְכ֖וּ

way·yê·lə·ḵū

and went

עַד־

‘aḏ-

עִ֥יר

‘îr

בֵּית־

bêṯ-

of the temple

. הַבָּֽעַל׃

hab·bā·‘al.

of Baal .

וַיֹּצִ֛אוּ

way·yō·ṣi·’ū

And they brought out

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

מַצְּב֥וֹת

maṣ·ṣə·ḇō·wṯ

the [sacred] pillars

בֵּית־

bêṯ-

of the temple

､ הַבַּ֖עַל

hab·ba·‘al

of Baal ､

. וַֽיִּשְׂרְפֽוּהָ׃

way·yiś·rə·p̄ū·hā.

and burned them .

וַֽיִּתְּצ֔וּ

way·yit·tə·ṣū,

And they broke down

the [sacred] pillar

､ הַבָּ֑עַל

hab·bā·‘al;

of Baal ､

וַֽיִּתְּצוּ֙

וַיְשִׂמֻ֥הוּ

and made it

in My heart ､

עָשִׂ֖יתָ

[and] have done
