וַיֹּ֨אמֶר

הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ
ham·me·leḵ
the king
אֶל־
’el-
to
､ אֲרַ֗וְנָה
’ă·raw·nāh,
– לֹ֚א
lō
No –
כִּֽי־
kî-
but
קָנ֨וֹ
qā·nōw
אֶקְנֶ֤ה
’eq·neh
I will buy [it]
מֵאֽוֹתְךָ֙
mê·’ō·wṯ·ḵā
､ בִּמְחִ֔יר
bim·ḥîr,
for a price ､
וְלֹ֧א
wə·lō
אַעֲלֶ֛ה
’a·‘ă·leh
will I offer
לַיהוָ֥ה
Yah·weh
אֱלֹהַ֖י
’ĕ·lō·hay
my God
עֹל֣וֹת
‘ō·lō·wṯ
. חִנָּ֑ם
ḥin·nām;
וַיִּ֨קֶן
way·yi·qen
דָּוִ֤ד
dā·wiḏ
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
הַגֹּ֙רֶן֙
hag·gō·ren
וְאֶת־
wə·’eṯ-
and
הַבָּקָ֔ר
hab·bā·qār,
the oxen
בְּכֶ֖סֶף
bə·ḵe·sep̄
שְׁקָלִ֥ים
šə·qā·lîm
. חֲמִשִּֽׁים׃
ḥă·miš·šîm.
of fifty .

וַיִּבֶן֩
way·yi·ḇen
And built
שָׁ֨ם
šām
דָּוִ֤ד
dā·wiḏ
מִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙
miz·bê·aḥ
､ לַֽיהוָ֔ה
Yah·weh,
to Yahweh ､
וַיַּ֥עַל
way·ya·‘al
עֹל֖וֹת
‘ō·lō·wṯ
. וּשְׁלָמִ֑ים
ū·šə·lā·mîm;
וַיֵּעָתֵ֤ר
way·yê·‘ā·ṯêr
יְהוָה֙
Yah·weh
､ לָאָ֔רֶץ
lā·’ā·reṣ,
for the land ､
וַתֵּעָצַ֥ר
wat·tê·‘ā·ṣar
הַמַּגֵּפָ֖ה
ham·mag·gê·p̄āh
the plague
מֵעַ֥ל
mê·‘al
. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
yiś·rā·’êl.
