And the sons
יַעֲקֹ֜ב
ya·‘ă·qōḇ
בָּ֤אוּ
bā·’ū
came in
מִן־
min-
הַשָּׂדֶה֙
haś·śā·ḏeh
the field
. כְּשָׁמְעָ֔ם
kə·šā·mə·‘ām,
when they heard [it] .
וַיִּֽתְעַצְּבוּ֙
way·yiṯ·‘aṣ·ṣə·ḇū
､ הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים
hā·’ă·nā·šîm,
the men ､
וַיִּ֥חַר
way·yi·ḥar
and angry
לָהֶ֖ם
lā·hem
-
､ מְאֹ֑ד
mə·’ōḏ;
very ､
כִּֽי־
kî-
נְבָלָ֞ה
nə·ḇā·lāh
עָשָׂ֣ה
‘ā·śāh
､ בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל
ḇə·yiś·rā·’êl,
in Israel ､
לִשְׁכַּב֙
liš·kaḇ
by lying with
אֶת־
’eṯ-
with
בַּֽת־
baṯ-
､ יַעֲקֹ֔ב
ya·‘ă·qōḇ,
of Jacob ､
וְכֵ֖ן
wə·ḵên
לֹ֥א
lō
not
. יֵעָשֶֽׂה׃
yê·‘ā·śeh.
ought to be done .
