אָמַ֣ר

’ā·mar

יְהוָה֮

Yah·weh

､ לִמְשִׁיחוֹ֮

lim·šî·ḥōw

to His anointed ､

､ לְכ֣וֹרֶשׁ

lə·ḵō·w·reš

to Cyrus ､

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

､ הֶחֱזַ֣קְתִּי

he·ḥĕ·zaq·tî

I have held ､

בִֽימִינ֗וֹ

ḇî·mî·nōw,

לְרַד־

lə·raḏ-

לְפָנָיו֙

lə·p̄ā·nāw

גּוֹיִ֔ם

gō·w·yim,

וּמָתְנֵ֥י

ū·mā·ṯə·nê

and the armor

､ מְלָכִ֖ים

mə·lā·ḵîm

of kings ､

אֲפַתֵּ֑חַ

’ă·p̄at·tê·aḥ;

לִפְתֹּ֤חַ

lip̄·tō·aḥ

לְפָנָיו֙

lə·p̄ā·nāw

– דְּלָתַ֔יִם

də·lā·ṯa·yim,

the double doors –

וּשְׁעָרִ֖ים

ū·šə·‘ā·rîm

so that the gates

לֹ֥א

lō

not

– יִסָּגֵֽרוּ׃

yis·sā·ḡê·rū.

will be shut –

אֲנִי֙

’ă·nî

I

לְפָנֶ֣יךָ

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā

אֵלֵ֔ךְ

’ê·lêḵ,

will go

– וַהֲדוּרִ֖ים

wa·hă·ḏū·rîm

and the crooked places –

[אושר]

’ō·wō·šir

-

– (אֲיַשֵּׁ֑ר)

’ă·yaš·šêr;

make straight –

דַּלְת֤וֹת

dal·ṯō·wṯ

､ נְחוּשָׁה֙

nə·ḥū·šāh

of bronze ､

אֲשַׁבֵּ֔ר

’ă·šab·bêr,

I will break in pieces

וּבְרִיחֵ֥י

ū·ḇə·rî·ḥê

and the bars

– בַרְזֶ֖ל

ḇar·zel

of iron –

. אֲגַדֵּֽעַ׃

’ă·ḡad·dê·a‘.

וְנָתַתִּ֤י

wə·nā·ṯat·tî

And I will give

לְךָ֙

lə·ḵā

אוֹצְר֣וֹת

’ō·wṣ·rō·wṯ

､ חֹ֔שֶׁךְ

ḥō·šeḵ,

of darkness ､

וּמַטְמֻנֵ֖י

ū·maṭ·mu·nê

and hidden riches

､ מִסְתָּרִ֑ים

mis·tā·rîm;

of secret places ､

לְמַ֣עַן

lə·ma·‘an

תֵּדַ֗ע

tê·ḏa‘,

כִּֽי־

kî-

､ אֲנִ֧י

’ă·nî

I ､

､ יְהוָ֛ה

Yah·weh

הַקּוֹרֵ֥א

haq·qō·w·rê

､ בְשִׁמְךָ֖

ḇə·šim·ḵā

by your name ､

אֱלֹהֵ֥י

’ĕ·lō·hê

[am] the God

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

yiś·rā·’êl.

לְמַ֙עַן֙

lə·ma·‘an

עַבְדִּ֣י

‘aḇ·dî

יַעֲקֹ֔ב

ya·‘ă·qōḇ,

וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

wə·yiś·rā·’êl

､ בְּחִירִ֑י

bə·ḥî·rî;

My Chosen ､

וָאֶקְרָ֤א

wā·’eq·rā

and I have even called

לְךָ֙

lə·ḵā

– בִּשְׁמֶ֔ךָ

biš·me·ḵā,

by your name –

אֲכַנְּךָ֖

’ă·ḵan·nə·ḵā

I have named you

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

and though not

. יְדַעְתָּֽנִי׃

yə·ḏa‘·tā·nî.

you have known Me .

אֲנִ֤י

’ă·nî

I [am]

､ יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

וְאֵ֣ין

wə·’ên

and [there is] no

､ ע֔וֹד

‘ō·wḏ,

זוּלָתִ֖י

zū·lā·ṯî

אֵ֣ין

’ên

[There is] no

אֱלֹהִ֑ים

’ĕ·lō·hîm;

אֲאַזֶּרְךָ֖

’ă·’az·zer·ḵā

I will gird you

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

and though not

. יְדַעְתָּֽנִי׃

yə·ḏa‘·tā·nî.

you have known Me .

לְמַ֣עַן

lə·ma·‘an

יֵדְע֗וּ

yê·ḏə·‘ū,

מִמִּזְרַח־

mim·miz·raḥ-

from the rising

､ שֶׁ֙מֶשׁ֙

še·meš

of the sun ､

､ וּמִמַּ֣עֲרָבָ֔הּ

ū·mim·ma·‘ă·rā·ḇāh,

and to its setting ､

כִּי־

kî-

אֶ֖פֶס

’e·p̄es

[there is] none

בִּלְעָדָ֑י

bil·‘ā·ḏāy;

אֲנִ֥י

’ă·nî

I [am]

､ יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

וְאֵ֥ין

wə·’ên

and [there is] no

. עֽוֹד׃

‘ō·wḏ.

יוֹצֵ֥ר

yō·w·ṣêr

､ אוֹר֙

’ō·wr

the light ､

וּבוֹרֵ֣א

ū·ḇō·w·rê

､ חֹ֔שֶׁךְ

ḥō·šeḵ,

עֹשֶׂ֥ה

‘ō·śeh

､ שָׁל֖וֹם

šā·lō·wm

וּב֣וֹרֵא

ū·ḇō·w·rê

– רָ֑ע

rā‘;

אֲנִ֥י

’ă·nî

I

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

עֹשֶׂ֥ה

‘ō·śeh

do

כָל־

ḵāl

. אֵֽלֶּה׃

’êl·leh.

these [things] .

､ הַרְעִ֤יפוּ

har·‘î·p̄ū

､ שָׁמַ֙יִם֙

šā·ma·yim

you heavens ､

､ מִמַּ֔עַל

mim·ma·‘al,

וּשְׁחָקִ֖ים

ū·šə·ḥā·qîm

and the skies

יִזְּלוּ־

yiz·zə·lū-

– צֶ֑דֶק

ṣe·ḏeq;

righteousness –

､ תִּפְתַּח־

tip̄·taḥ-

אֶ֣רֶץ

’e·reṣ

וְיִפְרוּ־

wə·yip̄·rū-

and let them bring forth

､ יֶ֗שַׁע

ye·ša‘,

וּצְדָקָ֤ה

ū·ṣə·ḏā·qāh

and righteousness

תַצְמִ֙יחַ֙

ṯaṣ·mî·aḥ

– יַ֔חַד

ya·ḥaḏ,

אֲנִ֥י

’ă·nî

I

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

. בְּרָאתִֽיו׃

bə·rā·ṯîw.

have created it .

hō·w,

רָ֚ב

rāḇ

to him who strives

אֶת־

’eṯ-

with

! יֹ֣צְר֔וֹ

yō·ṣə·rōw,

חֶ֖רֶשׂ

ḥe·reś

[let] the potsherd [strive]

אֶת־

’eṯ-

with

חַרְשֵׂ֣י

ḥar·śê

. אֲדָמָ֑ה

’ă·ḏā·māh;

of the earth .

הֲיֹאמַ֨ר

hă·yō·mar

חֹ֤מֶר

ḥō·mer

the clay

לְיֹֽצְרוֹ֙

lə·yō·ṣə·rōw

to him who forms it

מַֽה־

mah-

תַּעֲשֶׂ֔ה

ta·‘ă·śeh,

､ וּפָעָלְךָ֖

ū·p̄ā·‘ā·lə·ḵā

Or shall your handiwork [say] ､

אֵין־

’ên-

no

؟ יָדַ֥יִם

yā·ḏa·yim

. לֽוֹ׃

lōw.

He has .

to him who says

､ לְאָ֖ב

to [his] father ､

מַה־

תּוֹלִ֑יד

are you begetting

､ וּלְאִשָּׁ֖ה

ū·lə·’iš·šāh

Or to the woman ､

מַה־

mah-

؟ תְּחִילִֽין׃

tə·ḥî·lîn.

have you brought forth ؟

of Israel ､

､ וְיֹצְר֑וֹ

wə·yō·ṣə·rōw;

and his Maker ､

הָאֹתִיּ֣וֹת

hā·’ō·ṯî·yō·wṯ

of things to come

שְׁאָל֔וּנִי

šə·’ā·lū·nî,

Ask Me

עַל־

‘al-

､ בָּנַ֛י

bā·nay

My sons ､

וְעַל־

wə·‘al-

פֹּ֥עַל

pō·‘al

the work

יָדַ֖י

yā·ḏay

of My hands

. תְּצַוֻּֽנִי׃

tə·ṣaw·wu·nî.

you command Me .

אָֽנֹכִי֙

’ā·nō·ḵî

I

עָשִׂ֣יתִי

‘ā·śî·ṯî

､ אֶ֔רֶץ

’e·reṣ,

the earth ､

וְאָדָ֖ם

wə·’ā·ḏām

and man

עָלֶ֣יהָ

‘ā·le·hā

on it

בָרָ֑אתִי

ḇā·rā·ṯî;

､ אֲנִ֗י

’ă·nî,

I ､

､ יָדַי֙

yā·ḏay

My hands ､

נָט֣וּ

nā·ṭū

､ שָׁמַ֔יִם

šā·ma·yim,

the heavens ､

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

צְבָאָ֖ם

ṣə·ḇā·’ām

. צִוֵּֽיתִי׃

ṣiw·wê·ṯî.

I have commanded .

אָנֹכִי֙

’ā·nō·ḵî

I

הַעִירֹתִ֣הֽוּ

ha·‘î·rō·ṯi·hū

have raised him up

､ בְצֶ֔דֶק

ḇə·ṣe·ḏeq,

in righteousness ､

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

– דְּרָכָ֖יו

də·rā·ḵāw

אֲיַשֵּׁ֑ר

’ă·yaš·šêr;

I will direct

הֽוּא־

hū-

He

יִבְנֶ֤ה

yiḇ·neh

､ עִירִי֙

‘î·rî

My city ､

､ וְגָלוּתִ֣י

wə·ḡā·lū·ṯî

and My exiles ､

יְשַׁלֵּ֔חַ

yə·šal·lê·aḥ,

לֹ֤א

lō

Not

בִמְחִיר֙

ḇim·ḥîr

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

､ בְשֹׁ֔חַד

ḇə·šō·ḥaḏ,

אָמַ֖ר

’ā·mar

יְהוָ֥ה

Yah·weh

. צְבָאֽוֹת׃

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ.

of hosts .

､ מִצְרַ֥יִם

miṣ·ra·yim

of Egypt ､

וּֽסְחַר־

ū·sə·ḥar-

and merchandise

כּוּשׁ֮

kūš

､ וּסְבָאִים֮

ū·sə·ḇā·’îm

and of the Sabeans ､

אַנְשֵׁ֣י

’an·šê

､ מִדָּה֒

mid·dāh

of stature ､

עָלַ֤יִךְ

‘ā·la·yiḵ

to you

יַעֲבֹ֙רוּ֙

ya·‘ă·ḇō·rū

shall come over

וְלָ֣ךְ

wə·lāḵ

יִֽהְי֔וּ

yih·yū,

אַחֲרַ֣יִךְ

’a·ḥă·ra·yiḵ

יֵלֵ֔כוּ

yê·lê·ḵū,

they shall walk

בַּזִּקִּ֖ים

baz·ziq·qîm

､ יַעֲבֹ֑רוּ

ya·‘ă·ḇō·rū;

they come shall over ､

וְאֵלַ֤יִךְ

wə·’ê·la·yiḵ

and to you

יִֽשְׁתַּחֲוּוּ֙‪‬

yiš·ta·ḥăw·wū

they shall bow down

אֵלַ֣יִךְ

’ê·la·yiḵ

to you

יִתְפַּלָּ֔לוּ

yiṯ·pal·lā·lū,

they will make supplication

אַ֣ךְ

’aḵ

[saying] surely

בָּ֥ךְ

bāḵ

in you

אֵ֛ל

’êl

God [is]

וְאֵ֥ין

wə·’ên

and [there is] no

､ ע֖וֹד

‘ō·wḏ

אֶ֥פֶס

’e·p̄es

[There is] no other

. אֱלֹהִֽים׃

’ĕ·lō·hîm.

אָכֵ֕ן

’ā·ḵên

אַתָּ֖ה

’at·tāh

אֵ֣ל

’êl

､ מִסְתַּתֵּ֑ר

mis·tat·têr;

who hide Yourself ､

אֱלֹהֵ֥י

’ĕ·lō·hê

､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

yiś·rā·’êl

of Israel ､

. מוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃

mō·wō·šî·a‘.

the Savior .

､ בּ֥וֹשׁוּ

bō·wō·šū

They shall be ashamed ､

וְגַֽם־

wə·ḡam-

and also

､ נִכְלְמ֖וּ

niḵ·lə·mū

כֻּלָּ֑ם

kul·lām;

יַחְדָּו֙

yaḥ·dāw

הָלְכ֣וּ

hā·lə·ḵū

בַכְּלִמָּ֔ה

ḇak·kə·lim·māh,

חָרָשֵׁ֖י

ḥā·rā·šê

[Who are] makers

. צִירִֽים׃

ṣî·rîm.

of idols .

יִשְׂרָאֵל֙

yiś·rā·’êl

[But] Israel

נוֹשַׁ֣ע

nō·wō·ša‘

בַּיהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

– תְּשׁוּעַ֖ת

tə·šū·‘aṯ

עוֹלָמִ֑ים

‘ō·w·lā·mîm;

with an everlasting

לֹא־

lō-

not

תֵבֹ֥שׁוּ

ṯê·ḇō·šū

You shall be ashamed

וְלֹא־

wə·lō-

or

תִכָּלְמ֖וּ

ṯik·kā·lə·mū

. עַד־

‘aḏ-

to .

ע֥וֹלְמֵי

‘ō·wl·mê

. עַֽד׃

‘aḏ.

and ever .

is God

יֹצֵ֨ר

הָאָ֤רֶץ

וְעֹשָׂהּ֙

wə·‘ō·śāh

and made it

ה֣וּא

He

כֽוֹנְנָ֔הּ

ḵō·wn·nāh,

has established it

לֹא־

､ תֹ֥הוּ

in vain ､

בְרָאָ֖הּ

ḇə·rā·’āh

who did create it

､ לָשֶׁ֣בֶת

lā·še·ḇeṯ

to be inhabited ､

יְצָרָ֑הּ

yə·ṣā·rāh;

אֲנִ֥י

’ă·nî

I [am]

– יְהוָ֖ה

וְאֵ֥ין

wə·’ên

and [there is] no

､ בַסֵּ֣תֶר

in secret ､

דִּבַּ֗רְתִּי

בִּמְקוֹם֙

in a place

– אֶ֣רֶץ

’e·reṣ

of the earth –

חֹ֔שֶׁךְ

ḥō·šeḵ,

לֹ֥א

lō

not

אָמַ֛רְתִּי

’ā·mar·tî

לְזֶ֥רַע

lə·ze·ra‘

to the seed

､ יַעֲקֹ֖ב

ya·‘ă·qōḇ

of Jacob ､

– תֹּ֣הוּ

tō·hū

in vain –

בַקְּשׁ֑וּנִי

ḇaq·qə·šū·nî;

אֲנִ֤י

’ă·nî

I

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

דֹּבֵ֣ר

dō·ḇêr

､ צֶ֔דֶק

ṣe·ḏeq,

righteousness ､

מַגִּ֖יד

mag·gîḏ

. מֵישָׁרִֽים׃

mê·šā·rîm.

[things] that are right .

הִקָּבְצ֥וּ

hiq·qā·ḇə·ṣū

Assemble yourselves

– וָבֹ֛אוּ

wā·ḇō·’ū

and come –

הִֽתְנַגְּשׁ֥וּ

hiṯ·nag·gə·šū

､ יַחְדָּ֖ו

yaḥ·dāw

פְּלִיטֵ֣י

pə·lî·ṭê

You [who have] escaped from

– הַגּוֹיִ֑ם

hag·gō·w·yim;

the nations –

לֹ֣א

lō

no

יָדְע֗וּ

yā·ḏə·‘ū,

they have knowledge

הַנֹּֽשְׂאִים֙

han·nō·śə·’îm

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

עֵ֣ץ

‘êṣ

the wood

､ פִּסְלָ֔ם

pis·lām,

of their carved image ､

וּמִתְפַּלְלִ֔ים

ū·miṯ·pal·lîm,

and pray

אֶל־

’el-

to

אֵ֖ל

’êl

לֹ֥א

lō

. יוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃

yō·wō·šî·a‘.

הַגִּ֣ידוּ

hag·gî·ḏū

– וְהַגִּ֔ישׁוּ

wə·hag·gî·šū,

and bring forth [your case] –

､ אַ֥ף

’ap̄

Yes ､

יִֽוָּעֲצ֖וּ

yiw·wā·‘ă·ṣū

let them take counsel

– יַחְדָּ֑ו

yaḥ·dāw;

מִ֣י

mî

הִשְׁמִיעַ֩

hiš·mî·a‘

זֹ֨את

zōṯ

؟ מִקֶּ֜דֶם

miq·qe·ḏem

from ancient time ؟

؟ מֵאָ֣ז

mê·’āz

הִגִּידָ֗הּ

hig·gî·ḏāh,

[Who] has told it

הֲל֨וֹא

hă·lō·w

[Have] not

אֲנִ֤י

’ă·nî

I

؟ יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

וְאֵֽין־

wə·’ên-

and [there is] no

ע֤וֹד

‘ō·wḏ

אֱלֹהִים֙

’ĕ·lō·hîm

מִבַּלְעָדַ֔י

mib·bal·‘ā·ḏay,

אֵֽל־

’êl-

צַדִּ֣יק

ṣad·dîq

– וּמוֹשִׁ֔יעַ

ū·mō·wō·šî·a‘,

and a Savior –

אַ֖יִן

’a·yin

[There is] none

. זוּלָתִֽי׃

zū·lā·ṯî.

פְּנוּ־

pə·nū-

אֵלַ֥י

’ê·lay

to Me

､ וְהִוָּשְׁע֖וּ

wə·hiw·wā·šə·‘ū

and be saved ､

כָּל־

kāl-

אַפְסֵי־

’ap̄·sê-

– אָ֑רֶץ

’ā·reṣ;

of the earth –

כִּ֥י

kî

אֲנִי־

’ă·nî-

I [am]

､ אֵ֖ל

’êl

God ､

וְאֵ֥ין

wə·’ên

and [there is] no

. עֽוֹד׃

‘ō·wḏ.

בִּ֣י

bî

נִשְׁבַּ֔עְתִּי

niš·ba‘·tî,

יָצָ֨א

yā·ṣā

מִפִּ֧י

mip·pî

of My mouth

､ צְדָקָ֛ה

ṣə·ḏā·qāh

[in] righteousness ､

דָּבָ֖ר

dā·ḇār

the word

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

and not

､ יָשׁ֑וּב

yā·šūḇ;

shall return ､

כִּי־

kî-

לִי֙

lî

to Me

､ תִּכְרַ֣ע

tiḵ·ra‘

כָּל־

kāl-

בֶּ֔רֶךְ

be·reḵ,

תִּשָּׁבַ֖ע

tiš·šā·ḇa‘

shall take an oath

כָּל־

kāl-

. לָשֽׁוֹן׃

lā·šō·wn.

､ אַ֧ךְ

’aḵ

בַּיהוָ֛ה

Yah·weh

לִ֥י

lî

to

､ אָמַ֖ר

’ā·mar

He shall say ､

צְדָק֣וֹת

ṣə·ḏā·qō·wṯ

I have righteousness

– וָעֹ֑ז

wā·‘ōz;

and strength –

עָדָיו֙

‘ā·ḏāw

to Him

– יָב֣וֹא

yā·ḇō·w

[men] shall come –

. וְיֵבֹ֔שׁוּ

wə·yê·ḇō·šū,

and shall be ashamed .

כֹּ֖ל

kōl

הַנֶּחֱרִ֥ים

han·ne·ḥĕ·rîm

who are incensed

. בּֽוֹ׃

bōw.

בַּיהוָ֛ה

Yah·weh

､ יִצְדְּק֥וּ

yiṣ·də·qū

shall be justified ､

. וְיִֽתְהַלְל֖וּ

wə·yiṯ·hal·lū

and shall glory .

כָּל־

kāl-

זֶ֥רַע

ze·ra‘

the descendants

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

yiś·rā·’êl.
