and with their flocks

the aged

[him who is] full

And shall be turned over

to others ､

I will stretch out

the inhabitants

from the least of them

וְעַד־

and even to

גְּדוֹלָ֔ם

the greatest of them

כֻּלּ֖וֹ

בּוֹצֵ֣עַ

bō·w·ṣê·a‘

[is] given to

– בָּ֑צַע

bā·ṣa‘;

covetousness –

וּמִנָּבִיא֙

ū·min·nā·ḇî

and from the prophet

וְעַד־

wə·‘aḏ-

and even to

כֹּהֵ֔ן

kō·hên,

כֻּלּ֖וֹ

kul·lōw

עֹ֥שֶׂה

‘ō·śeh

. שָּֽׁקֶר׃

šā·qer.

וַֽיְרַפְּא֞וּ

way·rap·pə·’ū

And they have healed

אֶת־

the hurt

עַמִּי֙

of My people

עַל־

､ נְקַלָּ֔ה

､ לֵאמֹ֖ר

and walk

and you will find

מַרְגּ֖וֹעַ

mar·gō·w·a‘

. לְנַפְשְׁכֶ֑ם

for your souls .

､ וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ

But they said ､

. נֵלֵֽךְ׃

we will walk [in it] .

וַהֲקִמֹתִ֤י

wa·hă·qi·mō·ṯî

And I set

עֲלֵיכֶם֙

‘ă·lê·ḵem

צֹפִ֔ים

ṣō·p̄îm,

הַקְשִׁ֖יבוּ

haq·šî·ḇū

[saying] Listen

לְק֣וֹל

lə·qō·wl

to the sound

. שׁוֹפָ֑ר

šō·w·p̄ār;

of the trumpet .

､ וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ

way·yō·mə·rū

But they said ､

לֹ֥א

lō

not

. נַקְשִֽׁיב׃

naq·šîḇ.

we will listen .

לָכֵ֖ן

lā·ḵên

､ שִׁמְע֣וּ

šim·‘ū

hear ､

､ הַגּוֹיִ֑ם

hag·gō·w·yim;

you nations ､

､ וּדְעִ֥י

ū·ḏə·‘î

and know ､

､ עֵדָ֖ה

‘ê·ḏāh

congregation ､

אֶת־

’eṯ-

אֲשֶׁר־

what [is]

Hear ､

will surely bring

Your burnt offerings [are]

וְזִבְחֵיכֶ֖ם

and your sacrifices

will be raised

מִיַּרְכְּתֵי־

from the farthest parts

of the earth .

קֶ֣שֶׁת

– וְכִיד֞וֹן

wə·ḵî·ḏō·wn

and spear –

יַחֲזִ֗יקוּ

ya·ḥă·zî·qū,

they will lay hold on

､ אַכְזָרִ֥י

’aḵ·zā·rî

הוּא֙

it [is]

וְלֹ֣א

and no

– יְרַחֵ֔מוּ

yə·ra·ḥê·mū,

קוֹלָם֙

qō·w·lām

– כַּיָּ֣ם

like the sea –

יֶהֱמֶ֔ה

ye·hĕ·meh,

וְעַל־

wə·‘al-

and on

､ סוּסִ֖ים

יִרְכָּ֑בוּ

yir·kā·ḇū;

עָר֗וּךְ

‘ā·rūḵ,

כְּאִישׁ֙

kə·’îš

as men

לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה

lam·mil·ḥā·māh,

of war

עָלַ֖יִךְ

‘ā·la·yiḵ

בַּת־

baṯ-

. צִיּֽוֹן׃

of Zion .

שָׁמַ֥עְנוּ

the report of it

. רָפ֣וּ

has taken hold of us

Pain ､

as of a woman in labor .

of the sword

of the enemy

fear [is]

on every side .

of my people ､

וְהִתְפַּלְּשִׁ֣י

– בָאֵ֔פֶר

in ashes –

､ אֵ֤בֶל

､ יָחִיד֙

[as for] an only son ､

עֲשִׂ֣י

lamentation –

תַּמְרוּרִ֑ים

will come

הַשֹּׁדֵ֖ד

. עָלֵֽינוּ׃

upon us .

[as] an assayer

נְתַתִּ֥יךָ

nə·ṯat·tî·ḵā

､ בְעַמִּ֖י

among My people ､

מִבְצָ֑ר

miḇ·ṣār;

[and] a fortress

וְתֵדַ֕ע

wə·ṯê·ḏa‘

that you may know

וּבָחַנְתָּ֖

ū·ḇā·ḥan·tā

and test

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

. דַּרְכָּֽם׃

dar·kām.

כֻּלָּם֙

kul·lām

סָרֵ֣י

sā·rê

､ סֽוֹרְרִ֔ים

sō·wr·rîm,

הֹלְכֵ֥י

hō·lə·ḵê

. רָכִ֖יל

rā·ḵîl

as slanderers .

נְחֹ֣שֶׁת

nə·ḥō·šeṯ

[They are] bronze

– וּבַרְזֶ֑ל

ū·ḇar·zel;

and iron –

כֻּלָּ֥ם

kul·lām

מַשְׁחִיתִ֖ים

maš·ḥî·ṯîm

[are] corrupters

. הֵֽמָּה׃

hêm·māh.

､ נָחַ֣ר

nā·ḥar

Blow fiercely ､

מַפֻּ֔חַ

map·pu·aḥ,

[מאשתם]

mê·’iš·tam

-

(מֵאֵ֖שׁ)

by the fire
