'Contend with Me' in the Bible

And the people contended with Moses, and they will say, Give to us water and we will drink. And Moses will say to them, Why will ye contend with me, and why will ye tempt Jehovah?

Saying to God, Thou wilt not condemn me; make known to me for what thou wilt contend with me.

Who is he will contend with me? for now shall I be silent and expire;

Will he contend with me in great power? No; but he will put in me.

He drawing near justifying me: who shall contend with me? we will stand together: who the lord of my judgment? he shall draw near to me.
