'Hide Your Face' in the Bible
“Why do You hide Your face [as if offended]And consider me Your enemy?
How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?How long will You hide Your face from me?
Do not hide your face from me; do not turn your servant away in anger. You have been my help; do not abandon nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.
LORD, by your favor you have made my mountain to stand strong: you did hide your face, and I was troubled.
Why do You hide Your faceAnd forget our affliction and our oppression?
Hide Your face from my sinsAnd blot out all my iniquities.
and do not hide your face from your servant. Because I am in trouble, answer me quickly.
O Lord, why do You reject me?Why do You hide Your face from me?
Do not hide your face from me in [the] day [of] my trouble. Incline your ear to me. In the day I call, answer me quickly,
You hide Your face, they are dismayed;You take away their breath, they dieAnd return to their dust.
Quickly answer me, O Yahweh; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me, or I will become like [those] descending to [the] pit.
Like as I have done, so shall ye do also: Ye shall not hide your faces, ye shall eat no mourner's bread;
