'Jealous God' in the Bible

You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them. For I Jehovah your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and fourth generation of those that hate me,

For you shall worship no other god. For Jehovah, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God;

For Jehovah your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

And Joshua said to the people, You cannot serve Jehovah, for He is a holy God. He is a jealous God. He will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.
