Mark 10:46-52 - A Blind Man Healed At Jericho
46 They came to Jericho. As he went out from Jericho, with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road. 47 When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and say, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me." 48 Many rebuked him, that he should be quiet, but he shouted all the louder, "Son of David, have mercy on me."
49 Jesus stood still, and said, "Call him." They called the blind man, saying to him, "Cheer up. Get up. He is calling you." 50 He, casting away his cloak, jumped up, and came to Jesus.
51 Jesus asked him, "What do you want me to do for you?" The blind man said to him, "Rabboni, that I may see again."
52 Jesus said to him, "Go your way. Your faith has made you well." And immediately he received his sight, and followed him on the road.
35 It happened, as he came near Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road, begging. 36 Hearing a crowd going by, he asked what this meant. 37 They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
38 He called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me." 39 Those who led the way rebuked him, that he should be quiet; but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me."
40 Standing still, Jesus commanded him to be brought to him. When he had come near, he asked him, 41 "What do you want me to do?" He said, "Lord, that I may see again."
42 Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight. Your faith has healed you." 43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, praised God.
