Matthew 15:21-28 - A Canaanite Woman's Great Faith

And Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And behold, a woman which was a Canaanite came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, "Have mercy on me Lord, thou son of David, my daughter is piteously vexed with a devil."

And he gave her never a word to answer. Then came to him his disciples, and besought him saying, "Send her away, for she followeth us crying."

He answered, and said, "I am not sent, but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

Then she came and worshipped him, saying, "Master, help me."

He answered and said, "It is not good to take the children's bread, and to cast it to whelps." 27 She answered and said, "It is truth, nevertheless the whelps eat of the crumbs, which fall from their masters' table."

Then Jesus answered, and said unto her, "O woman great is thy faith, be it to thee, even as thou desirest." And her daughter was made whole even at that same hour.
