John 9:1-12 - A Man Born Blind Is Given Sight

And as Jesus was passing along, He saw a man, who had been blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked Him, saying, Master, who sinned? this man or his parents? that he was born blind.

Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents: but that the works of God might be manifested in him. 4 I must perform the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night is coming, when no man can work. 5 But as long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

And when He had said these things, He spit on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 and said to him, Go wash at the pool of Siloam (which signifies Sent.) He went therefore and washed, and came again seeing.

And the neighbors, and they that had seen him before, that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat begging? 9 Some said, this is he: and others, It is like him: but he said, I am the man.

Therefore they said to him, How were thine eyes opened?

He answered and said, A man who is called Jesus, made clay and anointed mine eyes, and said to me, Go to the pool of Siloam and wash: and I went and washed and received my sight.

Then said they unto him, Where is He? he answered, I know not.
