John 4:46-54 - A Royal Official's Son Is Healed

⁴⁶ So he came back to Cana in Galilee, where he had made the water into wine. There was at Capernaum one of the king's officials whose son was sick. ⁴⁷ When he heard that Jesus had come back from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and begged him to come down and cure his son, for he was at the point of death.

⁴⁸ Jesus said to him, "Unless you see signs and marvels you will never believe!"

⁴⁹ The official said to him, "Come down, sir, before my child is dead!"

⁵⁰ Jesus said to him, "You can go home. Your son is going to live." The man believed what Jesus said to him and went home.

⁵¹ While he was on the way, his slaves met him and told him that his boy was going to live. ⁵² So he asked them at what time he had begun to get better, and they said to him, "Yesterday at one o'clock the fever left him." ⁵³ So the father knew that it was the very time when Jesus had said to him "Your son is going to live." And he and his whole household believed in Jesus.

⁵⁴ This second sign Jesus showed after coming back from Judea to Galilee.
