1 Peter 3:8-12 - Called To Inherit A Blessing

⁸ Finally, be, all of one mind, have fellow feeling, love as brethren, be compassionate, be humble; ⁹ not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but, on the contrary, blessing the evildoer; because for this end ye were called, that ye might inherit blessing.

¹⁰ "For he that would love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile; ¹¹ let him turn away from evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and pursue it. ¹² For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are toward their supplication; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."
