Romans 16:17-20 - Concluding Exhortations

Romans 16:17-20

17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

19 For your obedience is come abroad to all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise to that which is good, and simple concerning evil. 20 And the God of peace will soon bruise Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

1 Corinthians 16:13-18

13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, acquit yourselves like men, be strong. 14 Let all your things be done with charity.

15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,) 16 That ye submit yourselves to such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboreth. 17 I am glad of the coming of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part, they have supplied. 18 For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.
