And he departed thence, and entered into the house of a certain man named Justus, one that worshiped God, whose house joined close to the synagogue. And Crispus the chief ruler of the synagogue believed on the Lord with all his house: and many of the Corinthians hearing, believed, and were baptized. Then the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: For I am with thee, and no man shall lay hands on thee, to hurt thee: for I have many people in this city. And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

And thou shalt teach them diligently to thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

And the servant of the Lord must not contend; but be gentle to all men, apt to teach, patient,

And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken to them by the hand of Moses.

That the generation to come might know them, even the children who should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us, that denying ungodliness, and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and piously, in this present world;

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. read more.
For whatever things were written formerly, were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according to thy word. Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. read more.
Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes. The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart. Their heart is as gross as fat; but I delight in thy law. It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel; And he said to them, Set your hearts to all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.

Whoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

And it came to pass when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine.

And he taught them many things by parables, and said to them in his doctrine,

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

Whoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whoever shall do, and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he who hath the sharp sword with two edges; I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling-block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit lewdness. read more.
So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. Repent; or else I will come to thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

For there are many disorderly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of sordid gain. This testimony is true: wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men that turn from the truth. To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and to every good work reprobate.

As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith; so do. But, in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Presumptuous are they, self-willed; they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. Whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption: And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day-time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: they have a heart exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: Who have forsaken the right way, and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice, forbad the madness of the prophet. These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that had quite escaped from them who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for by whom a man is overcome, by the same is he brought into bondage. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it hath happened to them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and, The sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
