Romans 16:17-20 - Concluding Exhortations
17 But I beg you, brothers, to keep on the lookout for those who stir up divisions and put hindrances in your way, in opposition to the instruction that you had, and always avoid them. 18 For such men are really not serving our Lord Christ but their own base appetites, and by their fair and flattering talk they are deceiving the hearts of unsuspecting people.
19 Yes, your obedience has been told to everybody; so I am delighted about you, but I want you to be wise about what is good and innocent about what is bad. 20 Now the peace-giving God will soon crush Satan under your feet. The spiritual blessing of our Lord Jesus be with you.
13 Be always on your guard; stand firm in your faith; keep on acting like men; continue to grow in strength; 14 let everything be done in love.
15 Now I beg you, brothers -- you know that the family of Stephanas were the first converts in Greece, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of God's people -- 16 I beg you to put yourselves under leaders like these, and under anyone who cooperates with you, and labors hard. 17 And I am glad that Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus have come to see me, because they have supplied what you lacked. 18 Yes, they have cheered my spirit, and yours too. You must deeply appreciate such men.
