John 5:14-18 - Equal With God
14 After this Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him: Behold, you have been restored to health; sin no more, lest some worse thing befall you. 15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus that had restored him to health.
16 And for this reason did the Jews persecute Jesus, and seek to kill him, because he had done these things on the sabbath. 17 But Jesus answered them: My Father works till now, and I also work. 18 For this reason, therefore, the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he had not only broken the sabbath, but also said that God was his own father, making himself equal with God.
