Matthew 10:26-33 - Fear God Rather Than People

²⁶ Fear them not, therefore; for there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, nor hidden that shall not be made known. ²⁷ "What I tell you in darkness, speak in the light: and what you hear in the ear, preach on the house-tops. ²⁸ And fear not them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. ²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for a far thing? and yet not one of them shall fall upon the ground with out your Father. ³⁰ But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. ³¹ Fear not, therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows.

³² "Whoever, therefore, will confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. ³³ But whoever will deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.

⁴ But I say to you, my friends, Fear not them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. ⁵ But I will show you whom you shall fear: Fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, Fear him. ⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings? yet not one of them is forgotten before God. ⁷ But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
