Matthew 10:26-33 - Fear God Rather Than People

²⁶ Fear them not, therefore; for nothing has been covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. ²⁷ What I am saying to you in the darkness, speak ye in the light; and what ye hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. ²⁸ And be not afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear Him Who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell. ²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father. ³⁰ But the very hairs of your head have all been numbered. ³¹ Fear not, therefore; ye are of more value than many sparrows.

³² "Every one, therefore, who shall confess Me before men, him will I also confess before My Father Who is in Heaven. ³³ But whosoever denies Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father Who is in Heaven.

⁴ "And I say to you, my friends, be not frightened by those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do; ⁵ but I will show you Whom ye should fear; fear Him Who, after killing, has authority to cast into Hell; yea, I say to you, fear Him. ⁶ "Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings? and one of them is not forgotten before God. ⁷ But even the hairs of your head have all been numbered; fear not, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
