Matthew 1:12-17 - From The Exile To The Messiah

¹² And after the captivity of Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorababbel; ¹³ Zorababbel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor; ¹⁴ and Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Acheim; Acheim begat Eliud; ¹⁵ and Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; ¹⁶ and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, from whom Jesus, who is called Christ, was born.

¹⁷ Therefore all the generations from Abraham unto David are fourteen generations; from David unto the captivity of Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the captivity of Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
