20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
20 But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “(O)Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for (u)the Child who has been (v)conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
20 But after he had considered these things, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit.(R)
20 After he had thought about it, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. "Joseph, son of David," he said, "don't be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
21 And he meditating on these things, behold an angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying; Joseph, son of David, do not fear to receive Mary thy wife; for that which is begotten in her is of the Holy Spirit;
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
21 She will bear a Son; and (P)you shall call His name Jesus, for (w)He (Q)will save His people from their sins.”
21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to name Him Jesus,(i)(S) because He will save His people from their sins.”(T)
21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, because he is the one who will save his people from their sins."
22 she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name Jesus; for He will save His people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
22 Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet:
22 Now all this happened to fulfill what was declared by the Lord through the prophet when he said,
23 And all this took place in order that the Word, having been spoken by the Lord through the prophet, might be fulfilled, saying;
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
23 “(S)Behold, the virgin shall be with (T)child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name (y)Immanuel,” which translated means, “(U)God with us.”
23 See, the virgin will become pregnantand give birth to a son,and they will name Him Immanuel,(j)which is translated “God is with us.”(U)
23 "See, a virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel,"
24 Behold, the virgin shall have gestation and bring forth a son, and they will call his name Emmanuel, which is interpreted, God is with us.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
24 And Joseph (z)awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife,
24 When Joseph got up from sleeping, he did as the Lord’s angel had commanded him. He married her(V)
24 which means, "God with us." When Joseph got up from his sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary as his wife.
