1 Timothy 2:1-8 - Instructions To Pray For All People
1 Moreover, first of all things, I exhort you, that prayers, supplications, intercessions, thanksgivings, be made in behalf of all men; 2 for kings and all who are in authority; in order that we may lead a peaceable and quiet life in all godliness and honesty. 3 This is beautiful and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 who wishes all men to be saved, and to come to the perfect knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and there is also one mediator of God and men, the man, Christ Jesus, 6 the one having given himself a ransom for all, a testimony in due time;
7 in which I have been placed a herald and an apostle I speak the truth, I lie not, a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and in truth.
8 Therefore I wish that men in every place would all pray, holding up holy hands, without wrath and doubting:
