Matthew 20:17-19 - Jesus Predicts His Death And Resurrection A Third Time
17 And going up to Jerusalem, Jesus took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said to them, 18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn Him to death. 19 And they shall deliver Him to the nations to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He shall rise again.
32 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem. And Jesus went before them. And they were amazed, and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took the Twelve again and began to tell them what would happen to Him,
33 saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes. And they will condemn Him to death and will deliver Him to the nations. 34 And they will mock Him, and will scourge Him, and will spit on Him, and will kill Him. And the third day He shall rise again.
31 And He took the Twelve and said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. 32 For He will be delivered to the nations and will be mocked and insulted and spat on. 33 And they will scourge Him and put Him to death, and the third day He will rise again.
34 And they did not understand any of these things. And this saying was hidden from them, nor did they know the things which were spoken.
