Matthew 16:21-23 - Jesus Predicts His Death And Resurrection

Matthew 16:21-23

21 From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. 22 Then Peter took Him and began to rebuke Him, saying, God be gracious to You, Lord! This shall never be to You.

23 But He turned and said to Peter, Go, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you do not savor the things that are of God, but those that are of men.

Mark 8:31-33

31 And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. 32 And He spoke that saying openly. And Peter took Him and began to rebuke Him.

33 But when He had turned around and looked on His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, Go behind Me, Satan! For you do not mind the things of God, but of the things of men.

Luke 9:21-22

21 And He strictly charged them and commanded to tell no one this, 22 saying, The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.
