John 13:21-30 - Jesus Predicts Judas' Betrayal
21 When Jesus utter'd these words, he was troubled in spirit, and said without disguise, I assure you, that one of you shall betray me.
22 then the disciples looked one on another, being in pain to know who he meant. 23 now the favourite disciple of Jesus sat next to him at table. 24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, to ask who it was he meant. 25 then accordingly bending his head to Jesus's ear, he whisper'd, Lord, who is it?
26 Jesus answered, he it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have made it. and when he had made the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. 27 and after he had taken the sop, Satan entred into him. then said Jesus to him, what you do, do quickly.
28 but the company at table did not know what he meant by saying so. 29 for as Judas had the purse, some of them thought, that Jesus had ordered him to buy what was necessary against the feast: or give something to the poor. 30 Judas then having received the sop, immediately went out: and it was night.
