John 16:25-33 - Jesus' Victory Over The World

²⁵ "These things have I spoken to you in proverbs. An hour is coming, when I will no more speak to you in proverbs, but will tell you plainly of the Father. ²⁶ In that day ye shall ask in My name: and I say not to you, that I will ask the Father for you; ²⁷ for the Father Himself loveth you, because ye have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father. ²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and have come into the world; again, I leave the world, and go to the Father."

²⁹ His disciples say, "Lo, now Thou talkest plainly, and speakest no proverb: ³⁰ now we know that Thou knowest all things; and hast no need that any one should ask Thee: by this we believe that Thou didst come forth from God."

³¹ Jesus answered them, "Do ye now believe? ³² Behold, an hour is coming, and has come, that ye should be scattered, each to his own, and leave Me alone; and I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. ³³ These things have I spoken to you, that in Me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
