1 John 4:20-1 John 5:5 - Keeping God's Commands
20 If any one says, "I love God," and yet hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot possibly love God, whom he has not seen. 21 And we have this command from God: HE WHO LOVES GOD IS TO LOVE HIS BROTHER ALSO.
1 Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God; and every one who loves the Father, loves him also who is the Father's Child. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. 3 For love to God means obeying his commandments; and his commandments are not irksome. 4 For whoever is a child of God is overcoming the world; and our faith is the victory that has overcome the world. 5 And who it the one that is overcoming the world if not the man who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
