1 John 4:20-1 John 5:5 - Keeping God's Commands
20 If a man says, I love God, yet he hates his brother, he is a liar! He who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21 We have this commandment from him, that he who loves God should love his brother also.
1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Whoever loves him that causes the birth also loves him that is born. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we obey his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. 4 Everything born from God conquers the world. This is the victory that has conquered the world, even our faith. 5 Who is the one who conquers (overcomes) (prevails over) the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
