Matthew 19:13-15 - Little Children Brought To Jesus
13 Then some people brought little children to him. They wanted him to lay his hands on them and bless them. But the disciples tried to stop them. 14 Jesus said: Let the little ones (children) come to me. Do not keep them away: for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. 15 He put his hands on them, and then went on his way.
13 People were bringing little children to him so he could touch them. His disciples turned them away. 14 But when Jesus saw it he was moved with indignation. He said: Allow the little children to come to me! Do not turn them away for they belong to the kingdom of God. 15 Truly I tell you, he who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child shall not enter it. 16 He took them in his arms, put his hands upon them and blessed them.
15 They brought all their babes to him that he should touch them. When the disciples saw it they rebuked them. 16 Jesus said: Invite the little children to come to me, and do not forbid them for the kingdom of God belongs to them. 17 Truly I tell you he who does not receive the kingdom of God like little child, shall in no wise enter it.
