1 Thessalonians 3:1-5 - Paul Sends Timothy To Thessalonica
1 Wherefore, since we could no longer forbear, it pleased us to remain at Athens alone, 2 and sent Timothy our brother and minister of God, and our labour fellow in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you over your faith, 3 that no man should be moved in these afflictions. For ye yourselves know that we are even appointed thereunto. 4 For verily when I was with you, I told you before that we should suffer tribulation even as it came to pass, and as ye know. 5 For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent that I might have knowledge of your faith, lest haply the tempter had tempted you, and that our labour had been bestowed in vain.
