Acts 4:1-4 - Peter And John Arrested

¹ And while they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them, ² being indignant that they taught the people, and proclaimed in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. ³ And they laid hands upon them, and put them in prison until the next day; for it was now evening. ⁴ Many however of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men became five thousand.
