Acts 4:1-4 - Peter And John Arrested

¹ But, as they were speaking to the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, ² being greatly troubled because of their teaching the people, and declaring in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. ³ And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody till the next day; for it was now evening. ⁴ And many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men became about five thousand.
