Luke 9:18-20 - Peter's Confession
And it fortuned, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him, and he asked them saying, "Who say the people that I am?"
They answered and said, "John Baptist. Some say Elijah. And some say, one of the old prophets is risen again."
And he said unto them, "Who say ye that I am?" Peter answered and said, "Thou art the Christ of God."
From that time, many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus to the twelve, "Will ye also go away?"
Then Simon Peter answered him, "Master, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life; 69 And we have believed, and known, that thou art Christ, the son of the living God."
Jesus answered them, "Have not I chosen you twelve? And yet one of you is the devil?" 71 He spake it of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. For he it was that should betray him, and was one of the twelve.
