Luke 9:18-20 - Peter's Confession

Luke 9:18-20

18 And it came to pass as he was in a private place praying, that his disciples were with him; and he asked them, saying, Who do the multitudes say that I am?

19 And they answering said, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others, that one of the old prophets hath risen.

20 And he said to them, But who do ye say that I am? And Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

John 6:66-71

66 From this time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Jesus therefore said to the twelve, Do ye also wish to go away?

68 Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast words of everlasting life; 69 and we have believed and known, that thou art the Holy One of God.

70 Jesus answered them, Did not I choose you twelve? and one of you is a devil! 71 He spoke of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot; for it was he that was about to betray him, being one of the twelve.
