Matthew 4:12-17 - Public Ministry In Galilee

Matthew 4:12-17

12 When Jesus had heard that John was taken, he departed into Galilee; 13 and left Nazareth, and went and dwelt in Capernaum, which is a city upon the sea in the coasts of Zebulun and Naphtali: 14 to fulfill that which was spoken by Isaiah the Prophet, saying,

15 "The land of Zebulun and Naphtali, the way of the sea beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; 16 the people which sat in darkness saw great light and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light has begun to shine."

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, "Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Mark 1:14-15

14 After that John was taken, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 and saying, "The time is full come, and the kingdom of God is even at hand. Repent, and believe the gospel."

Luke 4:14-15

14 And Jesus returned by the power of the spirit into Galilee, and the fame of him went throughout all the region round about. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, and was commended of all men.
