Matthew 24:3-8 - Signs Of The End Of The Age

³ And as he was sitting upon the mount of Olives the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be, and what is the sign of thy coming and the completion of the age?

⁴ And Jesus answering said to them, See that no one mislead you. ⁵ For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they shall mislead many. ⁶ But ye will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not disturbed; for all these things must take place, but it is not yet the end. ⁷ For nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places. ⁸ But all these are the beginning of throes.

³ And as he sat on the mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, ⁴ Tell us, when shall these things be, and what is the sign when all these things are going to be fulfilled?

⁵ And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any one mislead you. ⁶ For many shall come in my name, saying, It is I, and shall mislead many. ⁷ But when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be not disturbed, for this must happen, but the end is not yet. ⁸ For nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be earthquakes in different places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these things are the beginnings of throes.

⁷ And they asked him saying, Teacher, when then shall these things be; and what is the sign when these things are going to take place?

⁸ And he said, See that ye be not led astray, for many shall come in my name, saying, I am he, and the time is drawn nigh: go ye not therefore after them. ⁹ And when ye shall hear of wars and tumults, be not terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end is not immediately.

¹⁰ Then he said to them, Nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; ¹¹ there shall be both great earthquakes in different places, and famines and pestilences; and there shall be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
