Matthew 26:1-5 - The Chief Priests And Elders Plot To Kill Jesus
1 When Jesus had finished this discourse he said to his disciples, 2 "You know that in two days the Passover Festival will come, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified."
3 Then the high priests and the elders of the people gathered in the house of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas, 4 and plotted to arrest Jesus by stealth and put him to death. 5 But they said, "It must not be during the festival, or there may be a riot."
