1 It was now two days before the feast of the Passover and the unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes made designs how they might take him by deceit and put him to death: 2 But they said, Not while the feast is going on, for fear there may be trouble among the people.

Luke 22:1-2

1 Now the feast of unleavened bread was near, which is called the Passover. 2 And the chief priests and the scribes were looking for a chance to put him to death, but they went in fear of the people.
