Luke 2:21-24 - The Circumcision And Presentation Of Jesus

²¹ When the eight days had passed for his circumcision, he was named Jesus ??the name given by the angel before he had been conceived in the womb. ²² When the days for their purification in terms of the Mosaic law had elapsed, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord ²³ (as it is written in the law of the Lord: every male that opens the womb must be considered consecrated to the Lord) ²⁴ and also to offer the sacrifice prescribed in the law of the Lord, a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.
