Acts 16:25-34 - The Conversion Of The Philippian Jailer

But at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sung praises to God, and the prisoners heard them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and all the doors were immediately opened, and the bands of all were removed. 27 And the jailer awaking from sleep and seeing the doors of the prison opened, drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.

But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.

And asking for a light he sprang in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas, 30 and bringing them out said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, and your house. 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and all those in his house. 33 And taking them that hour of the night, he washed them from their stripes, and was baptized, he and all his, immediately, 34 and conducting them up into his house he set a table, and rejoiced with all his house, having believed in God.
