Matthew 26:26-30 - The Lord's Supper

Matthew 26:26-30

26 As they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is my body." 27 He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, "All of you drink it, 28 for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I tell you that I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on, until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's Kingdom." 30 When they had sung the hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Mark 14:22-26

22 As they were eating, he took bread, and when he had blessed, he broke it, and gave to them, and said, "Take; this is my body."

23 He took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave to them. They all drank of it. 24 He said to them, "This is my blood of the New Covenant, which is poured out for many. 25 Truly I tell you, I will no more drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it anew in the Kingdom of God." 26 When they had sung the hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Luke 22:14-23

14 When the hour had come, he sat down with the twelve. 15 He said to them, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer, 16 for I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God." 17 He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, "Take this, and share it among yourselves, 18 for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until the Kingdom of God comes."

19 He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave to them, saying, "This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me."

20 Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the New Covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. 21 But look, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table. 22 The Son of Man indeed goes, as it has been determined, but woe to that man through whom he is betrayed."

23 They began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this thing.
